The NZ Marine and Composites ITO have just launched a fantastic new website with user friendly features which means information is easier to access for both apprentices and employers. Our new home is at www.nzmacito.org.nz . You are able to link to this new home from www.nzmarine.com.
You’ll find our new website has three main sections; Apprentices, Employers, and Schools.
The apprentices section is for current and potential apprentices, which provides information on each industry we are responsible for setting standards for, as well as how to begin an apprenticeship, and the benefits of trade training. Apprentices and potential apprentices will be able to search our directory of training companies by region and industry.
The employers section highlights the benefits of industry training, and how we can provide support to workplaces engaging with industry training. This section has helpful documents you may need while training your apprentices. Our new website has the functionality to advertise vacant apprenticeships within our training companies. If you’re looking to employ an apprentice, head on to our website and fill in the “Post a Vacancy” form on the employers page. We will review the application prior to posting the advertisement. Please note we will only be advertising apprenticeship opportunities. Your company details will be in a directory on the website. If the details require updating, or if you’re not listed and want to be, or if you are listed and wish to be removed, please complete the contact form on our website.
The secondary schools section has been specifically designed to explain the marine and composites industries to secondary school students and school career advisors. It provides information related to our successful new School to Work project.
The key objective for our website redesign is to raise awareness of the marine and composites industries and to encourage individuals to pursue careers in these industries. As part of our website redevelopment you will see a redesign of the Auckland on Water Boat Show, Discover Boating, NZ Marine Industry Association, and the NZ Marine Export Group. We encourage you to browse the websites and provide us with feedback by completing the contact form.
